This memorial will stand as a lasting tribute to those who have defended our freedoms—many during times of great conflict—and as a solemn reminder of the true cost of service.

More than just a monument, this space is designed for reflection, education, and remembrance. It will invite visitors of all ages to pause, learn, and pay their respects—ensuring that the legacy of our veterans lives on for generations to come.

Memorial Features
The York Veterans Memorial will include:

  • Landscaped grounds with trees and walking paths
  • Granite plaques engraved with the names of local veterans
  • Flags representing each branch of the military
  • Educational displays highlighting military history and major conflicts
  • A central space for Veterans Day ceremonies, military bands, and commemorative events
